It's now nearly 50 days since Toronto filmmaker John Greyson and London, Ontario Doctor Tarek Loubani were arrested by Egyptian police while on their way to Gaza. They are on the 16th day of a hunger strike against their treatment and detention without charge.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Credo Mutwa Cultural Village in Soweto for the ninth annual Soweto Pride march on Saturday September 28 2013. The organisers, the Forum for the Empowerment of Women (FEW), say that the march is a platform for LGBTI people from Soweto and the surrounding townships and cities to reclaim public spaces.
