In December 2014, Clint Ovrenovitz, a 42-year-old plumber, was shot dead while fishing on the Swartkops River in Gqeberha. One of his killers, Siphumelele Phethelo, was out on bail at the time. He had been charged with another murder and released on R300 bail.
